Location: Bishops Sutton
One of our designers worked with our client’s architect to specify the project initially as they were keen on a contemporary option for their new build in Bishops Sutton. As the project approached realisation, our client visited the Thames Valley Windows showroom to specify the windows and doors in more detail.
They chose Internorm HF 310 Timber/Aluminium Tilt & Turn Windows from the Home Soft range and HS 330 Lift & Slide Doors.
The composite windows and doors are a white painted timber interior with a matt finish anthracite grey (RAL 7016) on the outside. The windows are triple glazed, providing superb thermal and sound insulation and benefit from a triple gasket system ensuring maximum weather protection and achieving a low u-value of 0.87 W/m²K and 32 dB.
The tilt and turn mechanism allows for easy ventilation when tilted and when fully opened can be easily cleaned from the inside.
Downstairs the client opted for internal blinds mounted to the frame. These are neat and easy to operate and more practical with the inward opening nature of the window.
The HS 330 lift & slide doors are also triple glazed. Despite the size and weight of the panels, they glide effortlessly and smoothly along the track. These doors also achieve an ultra-low u-value of 0.67 W/m²K, making them suitable for any project, including Passive House. The doors can be locked in position at any point along the track, a great safety feature when children or pets are running around.
