A combination of Solarlux SL 60e bi-folding doors, Internorm HF310 Parallel Sliding Doors and Internorm HF310 Studio Windows from Thames Valley Windows have made a dramatic addition to a new build property on the Worthing coastline.
The former building on the plot was knocked down to make way for a contemporary home, which blends rich wood cladding and a striking metal roof to the exterior. It was clearly essential that the windows and doors would need to complement the clean lines of the facade but it was also imperative that they provided optimal protection against the harsh elements as the property stands close to the sea.
With these requirements in mind, the client had no doubt that the contemporary SL60e bi-folding doors, Internorm HF310 Parallel Sliding Doors and Internorm HF310 Studio Windows would be ideal for the property. The sleek grey aluminium frames were pre-anodised to provide greater protection from the weather, whilst triple glazing guaranteed maximum thermal and acoustic performance on all the doors and windows. A weathered threshold was used on each door to provide additional protection from coastal wind and rain.
The SL60e bi-folding doors were installed to both the front and rear elevations and Internorm HF310 Parallel Sliding Doors were fitted in the bedrooms at the front of the property to maximise the flow of light and allow the owners to enjoy the breath-taking coastal views. With their large casement sizes, the Internorm HF310 Studio Windows add to the sense of space and light throughout. A final touch was the vast feature window above the stairway to allow light to pour right into the heart of the property.
