Solarlux SL 60e Bi-Fold Aluminium Doors, Sutton

A period property has been given a contemporary twist thanks to a stylish extension which used a striking combination of Solarlux SL60e bi-folding doors and Solarlux SL60e fixed frames.

The owners of this Victorian home wanted to expand their living space with a single storey extension to allow them to enjoy the views of their garden from their enhanced kitchen and entertaining area.

Slim sightlines were key to achieving a clean, clutter-free look and the client instantly liked the modern, designer feel of the SL60e Bi-Fold Aluminium Doors in Sutton. The ultra-slim profile bi-folding doors were supplied with matching SL60e aluminium fixed frames to create a light filled space at the rear of the property. Supplied in a chic grey finish, they create a smart uniform look which contrasts beautifully with the pale render of the building.

The bi-fold doors were installed with a barrier-free flush floor track to allow the extension to seamlessly connect with the newly raised patio steps and enclosed garden. For a consistent finish, the structural steel corner posts were clad in aluminium in the same colour as the frames.

The project has cleverly blended period architecture with contemporary styling and the client is delighted with their bright, new living space.
