Oak Composite Door – Apeer 70 – Finchampstead

This stunning oak composite front door installation has transformed the entrance to this lovely semi-detached property in Finchampstead, a beautiful village near Wokingham in Berkshire.

Our client in Finchampstead had lived in their property for many years and while they loved the style of their Irish oak wooden door, years of wear and tear had taken its toll, and the door looked old and worn and not as secure as they wanted. The entrance to the property was tired and needed reviving, so the time had come to replace the existing door with a stylish and traditional timber door.

Thames Valley Windows had been recommended to our client by a family member. They called our office and requested a free quote for their replacement oak composite door project.

One of our designers visited our clients home to listen and respond to the clients’ requirements and talk through the range of entrance door designs, colours and finishes. As our client lived close to our Bracknell Showroom, our designer recommended that they visit the showroom, to view and see the various styles of front doors. At the appointment, our client opted for a high performing, and stylish composite front door finished in a traditional oak colour from the Apeer 70 collection to enhance the overall façade of their property.

Although the principal challenge was to replace their existing door with an oak timber door, they liked the woodgrain effect of the Apeer composite door to give the look of natural timber with the added benefit of being virtually maintenance-free

Soon after our client confirmed their order, a trained surveyor visited our clients Finchampstead property to finalise all the measurements and finer details. Shortly after the orders were placed with the manufacturers the date for the installation, was confirmed with our clients.

The installation was carried out within half a day with a minimum of disruption to the clients. The fitters were very respectful to limit any mess created; they put dust sheets out to protect the hallway furniture and carpet. The team cleaned up any mess after the job was complete leaving our clients home tidy and spotlessly clean.

The Apeer oak composite door is finished in a beautiful golden oak colour on the outside with chrome furniture finishing to both the inside and outside of the door to enhance its elegance. While and crisp white finish on the inside of the door, provide a contemporary and clean ambience to the hallway. The small obscured glass panel with a Cotswold backing offers privacy and security, and yet fills the hall with light. The finishing touch to the entrance is the incredibly stylish 25mm silver stepped threshold.

The overall brief from the client was to produce a warmer, more secure home while enhancing the entrance of their beautiful Finchampstead house.
