Anthracite grey aluminium windows and doors are a popular choice for architects and property developers for new builds and home renovations.
We recently partnered with luxury home builders, Bentier Homes to design a sustainable architectural glazing solution of minimal frame aluminium windows and doors for two new builds in Reading.
Tokers Greens is an exceptional new development of two luxury five-bedroom homes, conveniently close to Reading Town Centre.
Each property has been carefully designed with meticulous attention to detail featuring spacious and luxurious contemporary rooms that are finished to the highest quality specification. Every room benefits from natural light from large expanses of glazing.
Bentier Homes have established an enviable reputation for designing and building high-end luxury homes in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
Large glazing elevations and minimal framed windows were an essential element of these Reading properties including curtain walling a combination of various-shaped aluminium windows, slimline sliding doors and a stunning Aluminium Pirnar entrance door. Although the windows and doors were from different manufacturers, they have been finished with the same RAL7016 anthracite grey colour.
The architect-designed the Reading properties with a stunning architectural feature at both the front and rear of each property. An impressive gable end glass wall at the back of the property was created using a combination of slimline sliding doors on the ground floor that seamlessly blend the open plan kitchen and the garden. Above in the master bedroom shaped windows and fixed windows form the gable end offer uninterrupted views of the Berkshire countryside.
This Reading new build project required our senior design manager, Paul Mills, to work closely with Bentier Homes architects and building contractors to ensure that we delivered the precise specification for window and door design and performance.
As part of our architectural design service, we created full-colour 3D visuals of the proposed glazing solution to help the Bentier Homes project manager visualise the outcome. This also ensured that the architect’s vision for this Reading project came to life.
The slim frames and flush finish of the anthracite grey aluminium windows and doors add a simple, sharp modernist elegance to the Reading properties while letting in boundless amounts of natural light.
The resilient aluminium window frames provide strength and durability and designed to offer exceptional thermal performance and longevity.
Designed with a unique energy-efficient thermal break to reduce heat loss meaning that the two new builds in Reading will remain at a comfortable temperature whatever the weather.
All the aluminium casement windows were designed with trickle vents in a mixture of top hung and side hung openings, depending on each room’s requirements.
Two sets of slimline aluminium sliding doors lead from the kitchen and family room out onto the large garden, creating a continual flow between the inside and the outside of the properties and allow a flood of natural light and air to enter into the living spaces.
The Reading project involved design, supply and installation of over 50 bespoke double glazed Anthracite grey aluminium windows.
The combination of high-performance anthracite grey aluminium windows and doors will ensure that the Reading properties will benefit from outstanding thermal efficiency, acoustic insulation, ventilation, security and virtually maintenance-free.
The Ecotherm 50 Aluminium casement windows design makes them ideal for contemporary new builds or replacing slimline timber or even steel windows for renovation projects. They are available in a wide range of RAL colours and standard colour options.
