Our client wanted to extend their period cottage home to add more space and let light flood in to their family dining area. Thames Valley Windows had previously worked with the client’s architect and builder which have them a lot of reassurance. Our client also did their own research and were impressed with the quality and performace of the Solarlux range of products compared to other bi-folding systems on the market.
The original architects plans included a single set of doors with a window across the rear and heavy brick corners. Thames Valley Windows worked with the client to create a more open, free-flowing look and feel to the room by adding two sets of doors and steel posts.
Our client chose Solarlux SL 60e Bi-Folding Doors together with Solarlux SL60e Tilt & Turn Windows, fully weathered, rebated threshold with a pressed aluminium sill. They also selected a contemporary roof lantern in Slate Grey (RAL 7015) from Thames Valley Windows.
