Location: Bracknell
This beautiful detached property has been renovated to incorporate contemporary AirMOD RAL7032 aluminium windows and patio doors to complement the traditional architecture.
The owners had recently purchased their family home set in a stunning position in a secluded cul-de-sac in Bracknell near Binfield village.
When they visited our Bracknell showroom, they had a plan of home renovations and updates they wanted to complete to their new property to make it a modern, bright and spacious home.
They wanted to refresh the look of their home and replace the existing brown leaded uPVC windows with an energy-efficient modern glazing solution that was also sympathetic to the property’s aesthetics.
Our designer Rob worked with the Bracknell homeowners to understand their requirements and to design, supply and install a complete architectural glazing solution throughout the home.
The brief was to provide more simplified and streamlined windows and doors in a contemporary colour.
After careful consideration, the homeowners decided upon our AirMOD-lipped casement aluminium windows and doors finished in a dual colour with pebble grey RAL7032 on the exterior and RAL9016 traffic white on the interior.
Pebble grey RAL 7032 is a luxurious warm neutral soft grey with a hint of brown hues to create an on-trend taupe tone.
Lipped casement windows are a popular choice of window style for traditional and modern properties. The window is designed with a lip that overlaps the frame when closed. They are also known as Storm-proof casement windows, designed to withstand all weather elements.
The award-winning AirMod range of aluminium windows and doors was launched in 2019 and won the 2020 Build It Award for Best Windows.
They are designed with sustainability and carbon reduction with advanced polyamide thermal break technology and state-of-the-art warm edge spacer bars between the glass panel for advanced energy performance that ensures exceptional thermal values and comfort.
This ensures the AirMod contemporary aluminium windows can keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter and achieve low U-Values up to 1.0 W/m2K.
They offer outstanding wind, water and acoustic resistance and have been rigorously tested up to 2400pa for wind load resistance and p to 300pa for water tightness.
The versatile collection of AirMod windows is available in double or triple glazing. It includes MOD Flush, MOD Tilt & Turn, MOD Heritage, MOD Heritage Flush, and MOD Contemporary, with a range of versatile options, including an array of single or dual colours, glazing options, and finishes. There is also the option of a marine finish which is perfect for coastal properties.
The sleek and slimline pebble grey RAL7032 Aluminium Windows harmonises with the existing brickwork to create a contemporary twist with a traditional property. The aluminium frames will not warp or rot, require minimal maintenance, and provide homeowners with the necessary longevity and security.
Internally the high-quality windows were finished in white with modern graphite handles.
The windows feature traditional mechanical joints. The slim aluminium frames replicate traditional steel windows’ look and allow larger glass panes to create brighter living spaces through the influx of natural light.
To the rear of the property, we installed a triple-glazed twin-track Air 600 lift and slide door to make the most of indoor /outdoor living.
The end result is stunning. The gallery above shows the transformation before and after photos. Rob ensured that every detail was carefully considered to rejuvenate the Bracknell property with an energy-efficient architectural glazing solution for modern living.
The Bracknell homeowners are delighted with their experience with Thames Valley Windows. They advised:
“The AirMOD RAL7032 Aluminium Windows has made the house look much more modern and warmer. The sales process was largely a pleasant experience. The price and quality were good, and no extras once the price was agreed upon. Other double-glazing companies provide low costs at the start but throw in more costs down the line, which is a pain”
