Bifolding doors are often one of the wow factor features of the glazing package for any project. The ability to give a 90% opening is a significant benefit over sliding doors. With the doors stacked to one end, the space does open up to the outside and will often give the ‘WOW’ factor. We can also offer cornerless and glazed corner solutions for those who want to maximise ‘bringing the outside in!’

SOLARLUX SL60: ALUMINIUM BI-FOLDING DOORS

This perennial favourite from Solarlux is now the entry point to their range. These bespoke doors offer the best balance between superb quality and value to provide a visually impressive bi-folding door system for new builds or home renovations at a competitive price.

SL60 is supremely engineered for precision, with sightlines of just 130mm. The SL60 can be designed with a maximum panel height of 2700 mm and 1000 mm in width.

One of the best bifold door systems that are designed with precision engineering for smooth and easy operation and benefits from a flush track, creating a seamless transition from inside to outside.

Case Study – Our Gable end extension project in Basingstoke is an excellent example of Solarlux SL60E bi-folding Doors for modern and clean aesthetics. With an ultra-slim sightline of just 99mm, the Ecoline can be designed with a maximum panel height of 3000 mm and 1000 mm width to allow for more glass and less frame.

A thermally insulated profile with a sightline of 143mm ensures maximum transparency. The Woodline can be designed with a maximum panel height of 2800 mm and 1000 mm in width.

Woodline is an unrivalled door system. The key design feature that sets the Woodline apart from other conventional wooden bi-folds is the static aluminium structure between the solid wood profiles.

The hinge system of the doors is located on the aluminium section, which is rebated into the timber to ensure smooth operation, adjustability, high-performance security and weather resistance.
