Anyone can make a dramatic visual change to the appearance of their home, regardless of the age or style of property.
If you have a property that was built before 1950, it is likely that any changes made by the previous owners over the years have detracted from the original character of the building. A property of this era that has retained or restored its character, but with updated insulation and interior, has far greater value.
If your home was built between 1960 and 1980, it is very easy to transform it into a contemporary style. With some careful consideration on window style and colour, replacement tiles, timber boarding with cedar or cement coloured cladding, or rendering, you can easily achieve a contemporary look.
After 1980, most homes are of a more traditional appearance but can benefit from more current styling. Be it contemporary or traditional, changing lead lights to cottage style glazing bars, dark brown frames to grey/green or even black, can make a huge difference to the overall look and feel.
