This architecturally designed bespoke property in Windsor, was refurbished by our client. The existing windows were aluminium frame with no thermal break, making them very inefficient and often streaming with condensation.
Wanting to keep to the windows as close to the original design as possible, our client chose new contemporary aluminium windows with an externally glazed profile, ensuring that the sight-lines remained as slim as possible. The frames are finished in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) giving the property a more modern, contemporary style. Together with the large curved bay window and round openings, this building in Windsor offers some unique and interesting features.
Acoustic glass was fitted to keep the noise out from nearby roads and aircraft overhead.
The lift & slide sliding doors from Solarlux were installed in the kitchen to create an open plan space. The total width is 7,200mm (7.2m) and there are four panes on a twin track, allowing the two centre panes to slide open behind the fixed panes.
