Location: Sunningdale
We recently installed a replacement conservatory roof at a charming semi-detached property situated in the sought after Berkshire location right in the heart of the beautiful village of Sunningdale.
Thames Valley Windows had initially designed and installed the conservatory in 1998, so we were delighted that our clients decided to return to us when they were thinking about upgrading the conservatory to an all year living space. They advised that the conservatory still has a good base structure, flooring, electrics and upgraded radiators so were keen for a conservatory roof replacement but were unsure if they wanted a glass or tiled conservatory roof and was interested in the costs and options.
After an initial conversation with our architectural designer Michael, our Sunningdale clients made an appointment to visit our Bracknell double glazing showroom for their home improvement project to view the range of glass conservatory roofs on display.
Our Sunningdale clients existing conservatory already had a glass roof which is significantly better than a polycarbonate roof, but this led to the issue of it being more of a greenhouse than a functional living area. It struggled to retain heat during the winter and was unbearably hot in summer.
They decided that it was now time for a modern transformation with the latest innovative glazing solutions to create a light and airy extended living area that would maintain a consistent temperature throughout the year.
At their appointment, Michael, spent time discussing the different styles of roofs from modern to traditional and the variety of customisation and glazing options available.
Our Sunningdale clients decided the best way to transform their conservatory was to install an energy-efficient high – performance glazed from Ultraframe that would fill the living space with natural light.
The double-glazed panels on the Gable end conservatory roof are coated in Ambi-neutral which is the least tinted glazing that provides a natural look. The innovative technology reflects 60% of the sun’s heat away from the conservatory roof and reduces the sun’s glare by 63%.
A combination of self-cleaning glass and two roof vents help to ensure the Conservatory in Sunningdale is thermally efficient and cooler in summer and warmer in winter. An added touch is the contemporary low voltage downlights to create a homely atmosphere
Ultraframe is the leading glass roof manufacturers in the UK that are committed to designing premium glazed roof system that is fully compliant with Building Regulations approval. Every glass roof is bespoke, elegant, aesthetically pleasing and provides all year round living spaces.
One of our installation teams arrived at the property in July and installed the conservatory roof within two days, ensuring minimum disruption to our clients.
The new conservatory roof replacement is more significant, brighter and grander than the existing. A unique design that gives the conservatory that real wow factor.
With its Georgian architecture features, and the height of the roof and the large energy-efficient glass panels, it offers the living space the perfect combination of light, space and outstanding performance.
The southwest-facing gable-fronted conservatory has added a real touch of grandeur to the Sunningdale property. It has become our client’s favourite room, as it allows them to enjoy the best of the natural daylight and extends the day, especially in the spring and autumn.
Planning permission was not required from the local authority due to the fact it was a conservatory roof replacement.
Our Sunningdale clients are delighted with their new uPVC conservatory roof replacement and left a glowing 5 -star Trustpilot review:” Really pleased with our new Ultraframe conservatory roof. It has exceeded our expectations in appearance and heat control. The TV team were most professional and finished the works beautifully.”
