This detached property in Warfield has been transformed with contemporary cream uPVC windows and doors from the Halo Antique Rustique Range.
The family home is nestled in a quiet residential cul-de-sac on a highly desirable and popular development in Warfield, Berkshire.
The Warfield homeowners decided it was time to refresh the façade of their home, and with energy prices increasing, they were keen to improve the energy efficiency within the property.
They requested a free no, obligation quote via our website for eleven uPVC windows and front and patio doors.
Our designer, Joe, contacted the homeowners to understand their requirements and discuss the options of the double-glazed uPVC windows and doors that Thames Valley Windows can provide to suit both their budget and their property aesthetics.
Joe arranged a date with the homeowners to visit their home to measure the existing windows and doors and discuss their home improvement project so that he could design the best architectural glazing solution to meet their requirements.
Part of the Warfield homeowner’s brief was to replace the existing rosewood windows and doors with low-maintenance, high-performance double-glazed windows that would last many years. They were clear right from the start that they wanted a cream colour on the exterior with a woodgrain finish to add a classic and charming aesthetic to their property.
After a visit to our Bracknell showroom, our clients choose Halo Antique Rustique windows and French doors with welded grooved corner joints, and easy escape egress hinges that open to a full 90 degrees to provide superior air ventilation and natural light throughout the property.
They decided on dual colour frames with cream (RAL 9001) on the exterior, known as “Ice Cream”, and white for the interior with a wood grain finish.
They also chose scotia beading and graphite handles for all their uPVC double-glazed windows and doors throughout the property.
With the latest advancement in uPVC technology, it is difficult to tell the difference between uPVC and timber windows and doors.
Inspired by traditional joinery, our high-performance Halo Rustique Range is manufactured to 70mm in depth. Finished with an antique wood grain and ovolo edges that closely resemble the timeless and traditional look of timber windows but without the issues that wood brings, such as rotting, warping and regular painting or staining maintenance.
The high-quality, eco-friendly material means the windows and doors are virtually maintenance-free. An occasional wipe-down with a cloth is all that is needed.
The windows are available in a comprehensive range of window styles from casement, tilt and turn and fixed panes. There are also different opening configurations from the side or top openers, which are suitable for all types of properties, from traditional to new builds.
The Halo Rustique range offers exceptional insulation. It is manufactured with a multi-chambered system that effectively helps to keep the warmth in and stops cold elements from entering. This helps to keep your home thermally efficient with a comfortable temperature inside all year round and helps reduce your energy consumption, carbon footprint and heating costs.
All Halo windows and doors are designed to be long-lasting. They are independently tested by BSI for weather and security performance and achieve BS7950
Halo does not compromise on quality and efficiency. All modern windows have Low-E glazing and A+ energy rating and are argon gas filled with a thermally efficient spacer bar, achieving a u-value of 1.4.
As part of this home improvement project, we installed an Apeer composite front door and an In-Line uPVCsliding patio door to the Warfield property.
We also replaced the rosewood soffits above the windows with matching cream-coloured boards.
Overall, the Warfield homeowners are delighted with their new cream uPVC windows and advised:
We knew we required new windows and doors as the existing ones needed new glass and repainting. New units were a more cost-effective option. This, coupled with the required colour, made replacement windows the only choice.
The resulting installation is exactly what we expected and required
We wanted to use a local double-glazing company and had read good Trustpilot reviews on Thames Valley Windows
There was some minor snagging, which was resolved very quickly. Overall, we are delighted with our experience with Thames Valley Windows
The end result is stunning. (Before image can be seen in the gallery) The cream uPVC windows are beautifully designed with impeccably clean lines that combine traditional aesthetics with modern techniques to give a softer feel to the Warfield detached property
The narrower frames of the double-glazed windows and doors allow more sunlight to permit through the glass and naturally warm the house, delivering maximum thermal performance and making it more energy efficient.
The high performance of the composite front door and cream uPVC windows provide the comfort factor the owners sought from insulation and reduction in heating bills without losing the charm and character of their family home property.
Halo Antique Rustique is a highly sought-after window system for Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire homeowners.
Halo modern and traditional window and door designs make them a UK market leader for contemporary and older period-style buildings and houses.
