Solarlux Wintergarden, Northamptonshire

Our client was looking to create a lighter and more airy space to the living area of the house, choosing to demolish an existing roof and open out the rear of the kitchen to a new contemporary glass extension.

The Wintergarden incorporates a set of Solarlux SL 60e Bi-Folding Doors, finished in DB703 – Grey. We also fitted an SL 60e Fixed Frame in the same finish. The contemporary colour of the frames looks fantastic against the more traditional brickwork and lighter window frames.

The threshold sits flush with the new patio for a seamless transition from inside to outside.

The SL 60e aluminium bi-fold glass door has extremely slim frame sections, maximising the glass area. Heat-insulated, toughened glass is used as standard, achieving a low u-value of 1.4 W/m²K.
