The homeowners of a beautifully maintained period cottage in Alton, came to us looking for increased interior space and a higher level of natural lighting flooding in, especially to their family dining room. A return client after working with us and their architect directly, they came to our services with confidence, backed by personal research into our high quality Solarlux products, a more impressive lineup than every other bi-folding system series anywhere in the market.
During our work with the original architect, the plan including only a single set of doors and a small double glazing window placed in the rear of this Alton property. The home was edged off with thick brick corners to finish the period look. In the updated look for the client, our goal was to move the single back double glazing window to a home space that felt free, flowing with light and air. We decided to add in two more sets of doors and relevant steel posts to the property.
Unsurprisingly, the client picked out the Solarlux SL 60e Tilt & Turn double glazing windows as a result of their desire to add some of our famous and effective Solarlux products to their home. They were placed into the Solarlux SL 60e bi-folding doors, one of our most popular pieces. The whole door and frame was fully weather with a sill of pressed aluminium. As a final touch, they added a pleasant Slate Grey (RAL 7015) roof lantern from Thames Valley double glazing windows.
Altogether, the Bi-folding doors, Tilt & Turn Windows, and Lantern Roof brought new life to rustic cottage in Alton.
