A client approached our team with the intention of extending their pretty period cottage property in the Chawton area of Alton. The idea behind the extension was to provide more space and natural light for the family dining area. As our team here at Thames Valley Windows had already worked with the architect and builder the client was working with, this game them the necessary reassurance they needed that we would carry out the work according to their wishes.
As the client had conducted their own research into their options, they were extremely impressed with the performance ratings and overall quality of the Solarlux range of products we carried. Especially when these were compared to other, inferior bi-folding systems available.
As part of the architect’s plans for the property, a single set of bi-fold doors with a window to the rear and heavy brick corners was required. Thames Valley Windows worked alongside the client to provide a more free-flowing and open style to the room by the addition of two sets of bi-fold doors and steel posts.
In the end, the Solarlux bi-fold doors were chosen along with the Solarlux tilt & turn windows. To give the room that modern look and feel they desired it was finished with the stylish slate grey lantern.
