Location: Hemel Hempstead
The property above is a beautiful new-build in Hemel Hempstead. The owners approached us to with a view to installing double glazing windows in Hemel Hempstead, a side door and a front door that would give the whole property a contemporary, but aesthetically pleasing look and feel.
They chose the triple-glazed Internorm windows and doors Hemel Hempstead from the manufacturer’s Home Pure range and these feature a sash with a square-shaped edge, but not visible window furniture. On the exterior, the windows were finished with the Anthracite Grey coating, while on the interior they were finished with Spruce. The tilt and turn openings and the fixed units were also chosen and external cladding is being planned to hide the frames, to give a frameless look and get the most out of the glass.
In addition to the windows, we also installed for the customer, the lift and slide, with the same Anthracite Grey on the exterior so that the windows and door paired together nicely. This door led into the dining area, with the frame measuring at 2.6-metres high by 9.2-metres wide and a span of more than 22-metres. The four-panel model was picked out, along with central openers. As part of this installation, we also put the right and left opening single-pane glass panels in.
We completed the work we carried out on the project with the front door and a special paint finish was chosen to give it an authentic dark oak colour, that was furnished with a stainless-steel bar handle.
This was an interesting project for our team to work on as access was very limited, so we had to use vacuum-lifting machinery and hoisting equipment due to the weight and size of the frames and glazing, many of which exceed 250kg in weight.
