Location: Burghfield, Reading
This pretty cottage in Burghfield, near Reading, has been given a modern uplift using materials in keeping with the age and style of the property.
The windows were replaced with a timber-alternative double glazed solution from Evolution. This maintenance-free window features a flush casement and timber-look joints, reminiscent of a traditional timber window. The frames are finished in a natural wood colour on the outside and white on the inside, with external single Georgian bar. Pewter wrought iron handles complete the traditional look.
The timber-alternative front door is finished in Olive Grey on the outside with black wrought iron door knocker, letter plate and finger-pull handle.
This lovely home is now warmer and more secure. The windows and front door will look good for many years to come.
