Location: St. Albans
Our client wanted to add a contemporary glazed extension to their home to be used as a glass sun room. It would also make use of the dead space to the side of their property.
The angle of the adjacent gable was recreated in order to blend the two buildings together nicely. The popular Solarlux SL 60e bi-folding doors were installed at both ends of the new room allowing the space to be fully opened up in the summer months. They also provide access to both the house and the garden.
The thermally insulated roofing system is made of aluminium and can be fitted with lightstrips with recessed lights.
A great use of the space and the contrast of the modern aluminium against the more traditional brickwork really makes a statement.
The before and after photos in our gallery above show the unused space before, the Wintergarden being installed, and the impressive completed sun room that our client is so pleased with.
