This beautiful light grey front door with a side window adds kerb appeal to the exterior of this detached property in Bracknell.
The family home is situated on the popular Parks development in Harmanswater.
The homeowners contacted us during the pandemic requesting a free quote for a replacement front door.
Our designer Luke Schofield called the Bracknell homeowners. He arranged an appointment for them to visit our Bracknell showroom to view our range of uPVC, aluminium, timber and composite front doors we have on display.
The homeowners felt the existing white uPVC front door offered little security or energy efficiency. Part of their brief was for a secure, high performance and low maintenance entrance door.
After viewing our wide range of composite front doors on display, Luke talked through all the high-security features of a police-approved Secured by Design 70mm Apeer Composite entrance door.
The Bracknell homeowners were drawn towards the Hanwell door design from Apeer 70 traditional collection, but after seeing the anthracite grey composite door on display, they were undecided on colour.
The cottage-style entrance door is a popular choice for homeowners of period and modern properties.
After considering their options, they decided on the cottage style door finished in a dual colour of pebble grey (RAL7032) on the exterior and white for the interior.
Pebble Grey is a stylish light stony shade with subtle hints of brown, the desired colour for entrance doors for both homeowners and architects.
Apeer 70 composite doors have a variety of traditional and contemporary styles that are perfect for this colour; some of our customers’ favourites include the Rowton and Howard.
Every Apeer door is manufactured with an authentic timber wood grain finish that emulates the appearance of timber. The finish is weather-resistant to retain the colour and prevent fading but is robust and durable with no warping, twisting or splitting as with timber doors.
They are also low maintenance. No need to repaint or varnish; simple wipe clean!
The high-quality finish is complemented by a wide range of standard and premium colours, woodgrain finishes, glass designs, and door furniture, including door handles, letter plates, latch pulls, spy holes from contemporary polished chrome to traditional rustic.
An Apeer 70 front door is the most secure composite door available within the glazing industry. Its innovative technology meets all the security requirements and demands of a 21st-century entrance door.
Featuring multi-point locking system, anti-bump, anti-drill, anti-pick and anti-snap kitemarked cylinder lock barrels and large steel hinge bolts.
Every Apeer door is 70mm thick with a high-density polyurethane thermally insulated foam core with an expanded mesh inserted inside and sits alongside a full vertical steel bar for extra strength, security, rigidity, and stability.
It provides a high-performance insulated entrance door that is stable and strong and far exceeds all Police-approved security standards.
A double rebate system allows room for heat expansion and adjustment, as well as adding extra draught protection to keep your home warmer and reduce your energy bills.
Being triple glazed, they have an A rating for energy efficiency and offers a low u-value of just 0.7 w/m²K. They provide outstanding levels of acoustic, weather and security performance.
Every composite door is bespoke and made to measure to your specification.
The end result is stunning; the light grey front door with a side window and clean white frame is a sophisticated combination that adds a fresh contrast to the sandstone brick exterior and creates a welcoming entrance to the Bracknell home.
The double glazed side window is made from toughened low E glass looks aesthetically pleasing, whilst the obscure glass offers the homeowners maximum privacy while still allowing light into the hallway.
The chrome finishing of the Escutcheon finger pull/thumb turn handle and letter plate to both the inside and out of the door enhances its elegance.
