Location: Chorleywood
The owners of this property in Chorleywood wanted to be able to enjoy their garden, no matter what the British weather had in store. An oak veranda from Thames Valley Timber has provided them with exactly that. Come rain, wind or shine, our client can enjoy the outside all-year-round.
They had looked at other oak verandas on the market, but were unsure how to address their needs, both with functionality and style. After our designer spent some time understanding exactly what the owners wanted, he provided them with two different options showcased as 3D architectural drawings. One option suggested extending the glazed roof along the length of the property and the other option offered the structure to be housed just in front of the French doors leading into the back of the property.
After careful consideration, our clients chose option one from our Thames Valley Timber range to complement the style of the property in Chorleywood and the existing timber framed conservatory previously installed.
This beautifully designed oak veranda structure in Chorleywood has a glazed lean-to roof allowing natural light to enter and not darken the space indoors. The oak veranda is also fitted with white guttering, in keeping with the existing roofline on the property.
Other than having to lift a couple of paving slabs in order to cement the posts in, there was very little disruption to the existing patio. The slabs were re-laid beautifully and all in all, this oak veranda adds great ambience to an already impressive garden.
