Rosewood Timber Alternative Windows have transformed the energy efficiency of this charming detached property, which is located in a conservation area in the centre of Henley on Thames.
A neighbour recommended Thames Valley Windows had been recommended to the Oxford homeowners as they wanted to replace the existing timber windows in their family home with a high-quality uPVC window that offered high-performance, energy-efficient, and maintenance-free windows suitable for modern 21st-century living.
Our designer, George, contacted the Oxford homeowners to discuss their window requirements. They advised that the replacement windows would match the surrounding properties and retain the charm and character of their family home.
After visiting our Bracknell showroom to view our extensive range of double-glazed uPVC and timber alternative windows on display, the Oxford homeowners were drawn towards the Evolution timber alternative windows.
They were impressed with the superb slim sightline, timber-look appearance, and 45mm deep cill that replicates that of a timber window. The homeowners felt confident that the Rosewood timber alternative windows from Evolution Flush 70 were perfect for their Oxford home and were ready to place an order.
The homeowners chose Rosewood woodgrain for the exterior and white woodgrain for the interior. They selected a contemporary white handle with a minimalist finish to add a touch of elegance to the timber alternative windows and window furniture. The highly secure multipoint locking system offers enhanced security.
Although the original windows had no trickle vents, to comply with Part F of building regulations, the homeowners chose a concealed trickle vent for the windows and egress easy-clean window hinges to help clean the windows on both sides.
We designed, surveyed, and installed eighteen double-glazed timber alternative casement windows, which were finished in dual colour.

The homeowners are delighted with their double-glazed Rosewood timber alternative windows and advised of the following:
Although it was certainly not “money no object”, we were mainly concerned with quality that would match the surrounding properties and would look like wood rather than plastic. The property is in a conservation area and everything had to finish up matching the original windows and doors which were in a sorry state.
We are very pleased with the results, which have met all our expectations. Security aspects and insulation were important and expectations have been met.
We looked at a number of options online and went with TVW after a friend for whom you fitted windows and doors recommended it. It also helped considerably that we could see all the actual windows and doors in your showroom at Bracknell. This made the selection so much easier than relying on pictures online.
We were really impressed by the care taken by George at the showroom to ensure we understood all the options and got exactly what we wanted. The fitting went very smoothly. They came when they said they would and worked hard. They pointed out a cracked window as delivered and some minor blemishes in the wood effect that were so small we had not noticed them. These were all promptly rectified.
The Oxford Homeowners also kindly provided Thames Valley Windows with a wonderful five-star review
