Location: Surbiton
Our client was keen to replace the ageing timber windows and maximise the amount of light coming in to the living room of their home in Surbiton, Surrey. They also wanted to create a more symmetrical look at the rear of the property by removing the brickwork and tile cladding on the left hand side.
Thames Valley Windows installed the bespoke, slim-line Solarlux SL80 Bi-Folding Doors which have a subtle soft-line detail on the outside and a clean contemporary square finish to the inside. The bespoke nature of the SL 80 also allowed us to sit the fixed frame on top of the Bi-Folding Doors without the need for additional steels, meaning the glass area was maximised and the weight of the framework kept to a minimum. A 104 mm glass-to-glass measurement and a deeper frame allows for a superb u-value of 1.2 w/m²k.
You can see from the before and after photos in our gallery above what a fantastic difference this has made to the look of the property.
