Slim White Bifold Doors for Luxurious Basement Swimming Pool, Virginia Water

The owners of this luxurious detached property required a replacement set of slim white bifold doors for their basement swimming pool.

This stunning property is situated in a highly prestigious, quintessentially English countryside location.

The Virginia Water homeowner purchased the luxurious traditional new build to be used as a rental property.

Last year the tenants notified the site manager that the existing aluminium white bifold doors to the pool area were difficult to operate and lock.

As the architect had recommended our MD and designer Ryan Schofield, he went to the Virginia Water property to assess the existing bi-fold doors. After an initial assessment and a couple of tests, he confirmed that the doors had failed and would need to be replaced.

Ryan provided his expertise and explained to the homeowners that the main challenge with the project was the existing bifold doors are strap fixed with no visible direct fixing. To remove the existing bifold doors, some of the polished plaster would be removed, which will be difficult to make good. He also advised the alarm system would need to be removed by the security company before commencement of installation.

The slim framed bi-folding patio door design, functionality and thermal performance was important factor for the homeowner. They were looking for a high-performance aluminium bi-folding door system to fit their specification.

He wanted his tenants to slide open the large aluminium bifold doors with ease to the dedicated patio area and maximise natural light flow into the property.
