Location: Windsor
This Victorian property in Windsor had been extended some years ago. The new owners wanted to modernise the space by relocating the kitchen and creating new openings for a more modern, open plan look. Thames Valley Windows installed a set of two-panel Solarlux SL 60e Bi-Folding Doors in the sitting area plus a large fixed frame window, and a 3-panel set of SL 60e bi-folds in the breakfast area. A rebated threshold offers the best protection from the elements as it is weather-tight and helps to connect the inside and outside space. The frames were finished in a bespoke colour that are a smart contrast against the traditional brick.
The SL 60e is the most popular of the bi-fold doors and is suitable for almost any domestic solution. There is a complete window system available to match the folding door: Tilt and turn, sliding and fixed frame.
The before photos in our gallery above show the difference that has been made to the property, inside and out.
