Our clients wanted to give the rear of their home a more contemporary feel and open up the rear of the kitchen to the garden to allow in more light.
The first job was to remove the existing white uPVC French Doors and widen the existing opening slightly to allow for a 2400mm width 3 Panel Bi-Folding Door for which we have used our bespoke Solarlux SL60e Bi-Folding Door.
Having naturally considered white aluminium as the first option we discussed the merits of a more contemporary finish, after much deliberation they decided to go with Slate Grey (RAL7015) which you can see from the images makes the doors less obvious than the original white plastic and appears to bring the garden in more.
In addition to the Bi-Folds the clients were also keen to remove the existing dated bay window which we replaced with our Contemporary Flat Sash Casement Window, in a matching RAL colour to the Solarlux Doors. This change has also dramatically enhanced the look and also increased the amount of light in to the kitchen.
The client also opted for a motorised Markilux awning as a way to shade the room on the hotter & brighter days.
