Our client in Hartney Witney had inherited a white uPVC Conservatory from the previous owners. The property was originally three cottages and has now been opened up into one to create a large open plan living area from the kitchen.
Thames Valley Windows designed a 2-storey contemporary Solarlux Wintergarden that ran all the way up to the roof of the property, but due to fire exits required to satisfy Building Regulations, this was not possible. We came up with a clever alternative Wintergarden design that still gives a dramatic 2-storey height but also a safe exit from the 2 bedrooms above.
The side wall was removed in order to create one large space and the new breakfast bar links the Wintergarden and the kitchen.
