Location: Binfield
The owners of this family home enjoyed their garden and decided to maximise the time spent enjoying the outdoors by installing a Solarlux Wintergarden in Binfield.
Having already installed their uPVC Rosewood windows a few years prior, our Design Director invited them to visit our showroom in Bracknell to discuss various options available to them. After our client discussed their brief, an Akzent Plus Wintergarden from Solarlux was chosen. We can also provide various design solutions here at Thames Valley Windows and our architectural designers are always happy to help.
The patio doors at the rear of the house were removed allowing for an open plan living space. Solarlux’s SL60e bi-folding doors were installed at all three sides of the glass structure, and all glass doors have motorised blinds that are controlled by a wall switch.
The roof glass panels are self-cleaning and instead of forming droplets of organic dirt on the surface, it attracts water to spread and forms a thin film that sheets away quickly and dries off without leaving unsightly drying spots. The roof also has a fitted motorised blind controlled by a wall switch and a sky light to allow for fresh air ventilation. All of the glass structure is solar heat reflective, keeping the space cool in the summer and warm during the winter months.
This wonderfully designed glass structure in Binfield, is finished in a tiger fine, grey metallic and is extremely aesthetically pleasing, all the while offering great practical appeal. The flooring is flush throughout. The same flagstone tiles have been used to extend the floor space beyond the existing kitchen/diner, out to the Wintergarden. When the bi-fold doors are fully open, there is an uninterrupted flow of living space, bringing the mature evergreen backdrop of the outdoors into the hub of their home.
As homeowners, we continue to seek out simplicity, efficiency and beauty throughout our homes. It’s no secret that we are veering more toward the modern and contemporary in our style choices. Beyond looks, we expect high performance in the form of efficiency, functionality and durability. This Solarlux Wintergarden in Binfield certainly adds value, thermal efficiency and stunning aesthetic appeal to an already lovely, family home.
Our client is delighted with their Wintergarden!
