A contemporary glazed extension has helped to complete the transformation of a 1960s two bed detached bungalow into a stunning property, filled with an abundance of space and light.
The client had already created additional bedroom space with an extension and overhauled the tired decor throughout. The final stage of their renovation was to open up the back of the property to add extra floor space and provide direct access to the garden. The owners were keen to create a seamless flow from their newly created open plan living, kitchen and dining space into an additional lounge area where they could sit and take in the views of their garden.
Having discussed their needs with the designers at Thames Valley Windows, they opted for a stunning Solarlux Wintergarden extension in sleek grey aluminium to create that all important contemporary feel.
The fully glazed extension incorporates an Akzent Plus Roof with high insulation Argon filled sealed self-cleaning glass units, Solarlux SL60e Fixed Glazing to maximise the views of the outside and Solarlux SL60e Bi-Folding doors which open onto a new patio area. The expanse of glass has transformed the flow of light into the rear of the property and cleverly merged the new extension with the garden.
The client is very pleased with their new extension, which is decorated in a clean, minimalist palette to echo the updated style of the rest of the property.
