Stunning Pye Farmhouse Style Home is Enlivened With Halo Flush Ice Cream, White Georgian Windows, Warfield

Location: Warfield

We recently replaced the original 30-year-old brown wooden windows with modern Halo Flush ice cream white Georgian windows, transforming the aesthetics and insulation of this stunning Pye Farmhouse Style Home in Warfield, Bracknell.

The detached property has abundant character and is hidden at the end of a discrete cul-de-sac in Warfield Village.

Thames Valley Windows was recommended to the Warfield homeowners as a reputable, trusted double-glazing company with high-quality windows and doors. The homeowners looking for modern, energy-efficient windows and doors contacted us to design and install a bespoke glazing solution that would be in keeping with the character of their home.

Our designer, Joe, contacted the homeowners to work with the couple on designing an architectural glazing solution. They had a clear vision to refresh the look of their home and replace the existing brown wooden windows and French doors with energy-efficient modern glazing solutions in a contemporary colour that would modernise the property’s aesthetics.

The Warfield homeowners booked a showroom appointment with Joe to view and operate the range of timber and uPVC windows, French doors, and colour options.

At the appointment, Joe explained the differences between each range and discussed each style’s colour and finish options. This process helped them choose the best modern glazing solution for their Pye Farmhouse-style home.

Joe recommended that double-glazed uPVC Halo flush windows and Antique Rustique French doors with a wood grain finish provide the modern aesthetics they require and offer impressive airtightness and thermal performance. The mechanical joints emulate timber butt joints to give the authentic look of wooden windows.

Clip-on single Georgian bars have been applied to the outside of the glazing, a nod to the architectural style of the Georgian era.

Georgian windows are a timeless classic that can add elegance to any property, whether a period home or a modern build.

The Warfield homeowners chose a dual colour of contemporary ice cream, white grain on the external and white grain on the internal. This colour choice complements the Stunning Pye Farmhouse Style Home’s traditional design. It enhances its curb appeal and traditional aesthetics, making it a standout property in the sought-after cul-de-sac, where most houses have brown windows.

The glass units in the ice cream white grain uPVC windows have a Low E soft coating, are filled with argon gas, and have a warm-edge black spacer bar. They offer superb A-rated energy efficiency and outstanding thermal performance, enhancing the home’s aesthetics and energy efficiency.

The Halo Flush windows are designed to reduce carbon footprints and promote sustainability. They are manufactured in the UK and have the charm and characteristics of period wooden windows, making them a cost-effective alternative to traditional timber windows.

The Halo flush window has a 70mm outer frame. Its innovative double-glazed system offers higher levels of security and outstanding thermal performance. The glass unit sits flush within its frame for a stylish, sleek, virtually maintenance-free look.

Every opening window is manufactured with a high-security multi-point locking system. To comply with building regulations, easy-clean egress hinges are installed on all side-opening windows as standard. The window must open at 90 degrees to serve as an alternative fire escape route.

Ice cream white uPVC windows are trending and favoured by homeowners for their versatility. The subtle and timeless colour exudes luxury and sophistication, adding heritage charm to period properties and contemporary new builds.

The end result is impressive. The ice cream white colour of the grain is pleasing to the eye, complements the brickwork, and instantly enhances the property. The flush windows provide clean, slim sightlines and add a contemporary twist to this beautiful Pye Farmhouse-style house.

They have achieved accreditation from the British Standards Institute for BS7950 and PAS 23/24 for weather performance and ‘Secured by Design’, ensuring high-quality glazing products.

The Halo Flush system’s design does not impede the windows’ aesthetics, so the Warfield home has retained its elegant characteristics. This system provides both functional and aesthetic improvements.

Ice Cream White uPVC windows are a popular choice with homeowners due to their versatility. This luxurious and sophisticated neutral hue complements various architectural styles, from traditional to contemporary.

Brown wooden windows were popular architectural features with architects and developers for new construction in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They added character and charm to any property.

The Warfield homeowners are delighted with their Halo Flsh Ice cream white Georgian windows and advised of the following:

What helped you make your decision? Price/quality/features, etc?

TVW was recommended to us by a neighbour. We were able to see the quality of their finished installation at first hand, quite a few years after completion. They also said they had no problems all the way through the end-to-end process. We felt that the quality, range, and flexibility of the offering were great. Joe, our designer, picked up on our aesthetic requirements extremely well. His attention to detail matched ours.

Results—did it meet aspirations? What impact has the installation had—lifestyle change, property value, space added, etc.?

The results exceeded our expectations, and we are very demanding clients. The house is warmer thanks to the triple glazing across the north walls. The interior feels brighter, and the design gives it a more sophisticated feel. The investment has undoubtedly increased the property’s value, and the quality is in keeping with the sort of house it is.

Why did you choose TVW, and what made us unique to other providers?

We did obtain quotes from other providers, and TVW was not the cheapest. However, TVW offered the best overall solution, and we had by far the highest level of confidence in TVW as a provider.

How has your overall experience been with TVW?

Exceptional. The product range, quality, project management, outstanding installers, and end-to-end customer experience were all first-class. We could not fault anyone, and there were no delays.
