Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
We installed tilt and turn windows in this lovely Hampshire home. The original timber windows were more than 20 years old. They weren’t looking their best and the double glazing was no longer as efficient as it should be.
The new windows are uPVC/aluminium composite windows from Internorm’s Home Pure range. These contemporary style KF500 windows feature square-edged sashes which sit largely behind the outer frame, maximising the glass area and offering a slimmer sightline. They are triple glazed as standard and therefore benefit from excellent sound proofing and ultra-low u-values.
The windows have a tilt and turn functionality. This means that they can be locked in an inwards tilted position for secure ventilation or opened fully inwards for maximum ventilation. With invisible locking when the windows are open and no protruding hardware, cleaning the windows is an easy task – especially upstairs.
Our client is delighted with their tilt and turn windows and has noticed that their home is far quieter and warmer than before. They haven’t needed the central heating on as much either meaning they can look forward to reduced heating bills!
