Location: Finchampstead, Wokingham
This lovely period cottage in Finchampstead still had the original steel frame crittal windows installed. The thin metal frames offered virtually no thermal protection.
Our client was keen to retain the character of the property and enhance the aesthetics. They knew they didn’t want to go for a uPVC window or the look that aluminium would give and instead chose double glazed engineered timber casement windows. We mimicked the original design of the crittal windows using a solid timber Georgian bar with a traditional ovolo detail on the inside and a putty line feature on the outside. Monkey tail handles complete the traditional look.
We also installed engineered timber French doors at the rear of this Finchampstead property.
The gallery above shows the neighbouring property. It is clear to see the difference the new windows have made.
Our client is absolutely delighted with their new double glazed timber windows in Finchampstead, Wokingham and say they have noticed how much warmer they are on cold days.
A lovely project.
