This client had previously bought a conservatory from Thames Valley Windows 26 years ago! They had no hesitation in returning to us when they decided to replace the existing windows in their lovely Georgian detached home in Datchet, Berkshire. The single glazed timber windows did not provide adequate sound and heat insulation and were prone to condensation however, it was important to our client to retain the same design of window which suited this period property.
Having visited our showroom and seen the wide range of windows to choose from, they opted for the cottage style Evolution Storm 2 Timber Alternative Window. This window is virtually indistinguishable from a timber window and is now accepted in conservation areas where timber had only previously been considered. The windows offer high security, great looks and zero maintenance. They are also far more energy efficient than the former single glazed windows and offer greater sound insulation from the nearby road.
Our designer suggested they chose black frames with white casements – a traditional style which would complement their home and make the frames look slimmer.
The traditional wood detailing of the Evolution Storm 2 Timber Alternative Window has made an authentic and sympathetic addition to this property.
The client is absolutely delighted with their new windows. They were impressed with the beautiful timber styling of the window which includes wood effect detailing and hand-crafted joints. They commented on how much better the new windows look compared to the previous windows.
