Location: Wokingham
We recently manufactured and installed energy-efficient uPVC flush casement windows to the entire front and back of a detached property in Wokingham.
The owners of this family home had contacted Thames Valley Windows in 2017 when they were starting a home improvement project and we designed and installed a modern glass roof extension to the rear of their Wokingham property. We were delighted that last year they decided to return to us when replacing the windows and doors.
The homeowners knew that they had to replace all the old and tired existing double-glazed windows and make their home more energy-efficient. Still, the replacement windows needed to be in keeping with neighbouring properties.
Before deciding which window style to choose, we invited our clients to visit our Bracknell Double Glazing showroom to view the extensive range of windows we have to offer. Spending time exploring these options with Michael one of our designer, they had the opportunity to consider a variety of uPVC windows in a range of colours, double or triple glazing options. The Maidenhead homeowners decided on Halo Antique Rustique System 10 windows and with help from the designer and the colour options they were able to design the flush window frames to match their home perfectly, enhancing both their home and their lifestyle.
Our client’s property features a varied selection of Thames Valley Windows products. The rear of the property had been enhanced not only by the modern and high-performance bi-folds in anthracite grey and a large roof lantern but also the first-floor windows, situated above the bi-fold doors had been replaced with energy-saving uPVC flush casement windows in matching anthracite grey.
This home in Wokingham has been transformed with new factory finished Halo UPVC Flush casement windows, and residential doors for the utility, thirteen windows in total in various sizes and configurations, these window frames are incredibly durable and are low maintenance.
All windows are double glazed and offer higher levels of security and thermal performance. They are from our high-performance Halo range, with a profile wall thickness that is up to 18% greater than any other uPVC profile, and resistance to warping and cracking, this makes these high-quality Halo windows the strongest and most rigid on the market.
Halo’s uPVC profile is multi-chambered which enables excellent thermal performance. The Rustique products have been independently assessed and have achieved accreditation from the British Standards Institute (BSi) of BS7950 and PAS 23 / 24 for weather performance and ‘Secured by Design’, so you can have complete peace of mind as to the quality of their glazing products.
Front-facing windows and doors were finished in white wood grain and given a square leaded design to enhance the look of the property and keep it in line with the rest of the properties in the street. The windows and doors to the rear of the property were finished in white on the inside and anthracite grey wood grain to match the bi-folding doors and fixed windows in the extension.
The minimalist aesthetic design of the uPVC flush casement windows, including narrow even sightlines and large glass units, allow natural light to flood into inside the property and glorious outside views
One of our teams of fitters arrived at the property in August and installed all of the double glazing in four working days. These energy-efficient windows are argon gas filled and have a thermally efficient spacer bar, achieving a u-value of 1.4. This will ensure this homeowner’s Wokingham property would never be subject to frequent draughts, or inadequate insulation ever again.
Our clients are happy with their new windows, commenting: “We were so pleased with the extension that we have since used TVW to replace our other windows and doors and are equally satisfied”
There are two different Halo profile options to choose from – a rebated sash (or lipped casement) and a flush sash window. A choice of bead, glazing and colour options. With the look of traditional timber windows, they are suitable for both modern and traditional properties.
