Location: Earley, Berkshire
One of our latest projects is this stunning Aluk BSC94 white two-pane Hi Inline sliding door, which we installed in an artist studio in a detached property in Earley, Berkshire.
The family home is located on a sought-after road in Earley. The homeowners have been existing Thames Valley Windows customers since 2014.
As a small, independent double-glazing company, we prioritise customer satisfaction and retention. We were thrilled they returned to us to replace sliding doors, as their previous ones were no longer energy-efficient or secure.
The homeowners had lived in the Earley property for many years and were keen to replace all the windows and lift and slide doors in their family home to improve energy efficiency and lower energy bills.
Their brief was to complete their home improvement project in two stages.
Our designer, Chris, contacted the homeowners, listened to their requirements, and recommended an appointment at our Bracknell showroom, where he could show and discuss the range of windows and sliding doors we have on display.
Chris recommended white double-glazed uPVC casement windows from Halo’s System 10 Royale range; for the replacement sliding patio doors, he chose an Aluk BSC94 white two-pane Hi Inline sliding door and an APP4 Dunrobin Apeer 70 composite front door in a dual-coloured design: anthracite grey on the exterior and white on the interior.
Inspired by traditional joinery, our high-performance Halo System 10 uPVC windows blend classic aesthetics with modern techniques. This combination enhances your home’s warmth and safety throughout the year.
These double-glazed Halo uPVC windows feature clean, slim sightlines and a smooth white finish on the exterior and interior, providing excellent thermal performance for your home.
Combining high performance with stunning design, our Aluk BSC94 Hi Inline sliding door systems are manufactured to deliver beautiful slimline aesthetics that maximise natural light diffusion and offer outstanding thermal efficiency and weather performance.
With a stunningly slim aluminium profile and an interlock of just 45mm, the Aluk BSC94 Hi Inline sliding door opens up endless panel configurations, creating bright, airy spaces and unrestricted views.
This Aluk BSC94 white two-pane Hi Inline sliding door system is manufactured to the highest UK standards in double and triple glazing. Its thermal bridge offers outstanding thermal performance, security, and a wide range of customisable options.
This multi-configuration system is engineered for diverse architectural projects and adheres to the highest UK standards. When double-glazed, it achieves a DSER of a ‘C’ rating.
Inline sliding doors weigh up to 200kg per door sash. The doors sit directly on the track and are secured at the top and bottom. To facilitate operation, they feature a running gear at the bottom, and they open and close with a push-and-pull door handle movement.
This lovely detached house in Earley has been transformed with new factory-finished Halo System 10 double-glazed white uPVC Windows, a dual-coloured Apeer 70 composite front door, and a gloss white Aluk BSC94 white two-pane Hi Inline sliding door for the artist studio.
The homeowners are delighted with their new windows and doors and are satisfied. They gave the following feedback:
We wanted to replace all the windows, but we knew we would need to do it in a couple of goes.
We chose Thames Valley Windows because they were the most helpful company we asked to give us information.
The Thames Valley Windows salespeople spent time with us in the showroom, answering my husband’s many questions and seemed interested in helping us find suitable widows that would work given the age of the house.
Also, the price of the windows seemed sensible; we liked the outline shape, and the fixings seemed better than others we had viewed. Finally, we knew their windows would be the same when we came back to do more of our windows. We were also very pleased with the rating given on the glass.
We were so pleased with the finished result. The windows looked clean and simple and worked with our house. They made all the rooms warmer with new windows, and we noticed the gas bill was lower. So, we did a second lot, including the back door and most of the house. This meant even lower gas bills and that the remaining house windows, a sliding glass window and a new front door have all been added and look fabulous this year. The new front is lovely and very sturdy. My studio (Glass sliding window) is now much warmer, and the daylight is much better. The energy people gave the house the once over, and they were most impressed with the small etched onto the window glass. We are very pleased and impressed by the care taken by Thames Valley Windows, both in the fitting of the windows and doors and with their customer service, which has kept us informed about schedules, any issues that occur and, especially, the finished products fitted to the house.
TVW is local, helpful, easy to contact, pleasant to deal with, and efficient at putting in windows and doors. We would use them again, and I cannot rate them highly enough.
We had a lovely group of people to deal with, from the first contact in the showroom through the designer, the guy who verifies all the measurements, the office staff keeping us up to date with production/delivery and fitting, and last but not least, the fitters who worked really very hard to leave the house with beautifully fitted windows and sturdy doors. Thank you all.
The Earley homeowners also gave us an excellent 5-star Trustpilot review and lovely feedback.
