Location: Finchampstead, Wokingham
Having recently purchased this impressive property in Finchampstead, our client wanted to replace the original sliding sash windows as they were tired looking and draughty. It was important that the new windows matched the original design in order to retain the character of the property. They also wanted to change the front door. A simple design but one that made a statement on such a grand house.
With the help of our designer, a timber alternative, maintenance free, sliding sash window was chosen. The design perfectly replicates the original windows, including the traditional interior mouldings and architraves. Each window cill was carefully crafted to ensure they were exactly the right depth and width to suit the radiators underneath.
The new front door is a bespoke design, made from engineered hardwood and finished with a micro-porous paint.
Our client was so delighted with their new windows and front door, they returned to Thames Valley Windows when they decided to replace two sets of French doors and three windows. The three windows had been replaced by a different window company more recently by the previous owners of the property.
