Location: Marlow
Our clients in Marlow wanted to create a large dining/family space from the kitchen. They discussed various options with one of our Designers and decided to go for a traditional style brick built orangery with uPVC frames and hardwood cornice and fascia.
The double glazed windows and doors in the Orangery are Halo grained wood in soft white with authentic Georgian glazing bars.
It was agreed that rather than build the Orangery to match the existing brickwork, we would render both the Orangery and the rear of the property to give the house a completely new look. The gallery above shows the ‘before’ and ‘after’.
The Orangery has a hardwood lantern roof with aluminium capping on the exterior, so it is maintenance free. The glass is active glass for glare reduction and temperature control. It also has a self-cleaning feature which works with the rain to maintain a clear view all year round.
This family now has the additional space they desired and it can be enjoyed, whatever the weather.
The owners of this property have since come back to Thames Valley Windows to have new double glazed uPVC windows installed and again for a new front door!
