Location: Lightwater, Camberley
This is not the first time we’ve worked with this particular client from Camberley, but having moved house, our client came back to Thames Valley Windows when they decided to replace their windows.
The original timber, sliding sash, single glazed windows were in need of an upgrade. They were replaced with a more modern Halo uPVC mock-sash window in Camberley with satin white finish and French Doors. The windows were fitted with push-out openers and friction hinges which makes them easier to operate for night ventilation than typical peg stays. This also had a positive impact on the cost of the project. In addition, the new windows provide better sound insulation, reduce heat loss which means that the thermal efficiency of the house has significantly improved, and are maintenance free.
More recently, our client has added a Thames Valley Windows Contemporary Aluminium Lantern Roof to their living room. The original roof was modified by our client’s builder to create the opening and provide suitable reinforcement for the new aluminium roof light. We liaised with our client and the builder to create an upstand detail to ensure that all building regulation requirements were met.
