Our client originally came to Thames Valley Windows for a new composite front door. They chose an Apeer front door finished in an Oak colour to match their garage door, and double glazed side window. The door features a slam-shut lock and contemporary stainless steel bar handle.
Later on, our client returned to request a quote for an Orangery. They’d had plans drawn up by a local architect but they lacked the wow factor. Our Designer sharpened up the proportions, replacing a large window with a set of Solarlux bi-folding doors, made the brick corners narrower and the glazing taller. The contemporary style roof lantern is aluminium, finished in anthracite grey and features neutral active self-cleaning glass and motorised roof vent. The Solarlux doors have a flush track to create a seamless transition between the inside and the composite decking outside.
They wanted to continue the contemporary theme by changing their old 1980s style white uPVC windows to our Modus contemporary range timber alternative windows. These are double glazed with even sightlines and finished in anthracite grey on the outside and white on the inside.
Our client is delighted with the improvements to both the look of the property and the improved thermal performance.
