Location: Sonning Common
Located in Sonning Common, this beautiful home had windows that were only a couple years old; however due to the cottage-like style of the home, they didn’t fit in with other Edwardian styled uPVC double glazing, Sonning Common residents had in the area. The new windows caused the property to lose many of the charming Edwardian characteristics that it once had, the lead diamond design and window proportions that had been used didn’t fit in well with the property’s style.
Due to the lower maintenance that they offer, the client decided that a uPVC window would be the best choice to make. We then offered the clients multiple classic designs to choose from, each that would enable the property to reclaim its character.
The uPVC double glazing, Sonning Common experts, Thames Valley Windows, then installed the brand new Rustique styled uPVC windows with a lead design that was rectangular instead of diamond; the finish was created with white grain, using sight-lines that were equal. The modern look was still achieved through use of chrome styled window furniture.
With new windows, the property has undergone an amazing transformation. The value of the home has seen an increase and it feels much warmer. The client’s neighbours have been very forthcoming with their thoughts, paying a visit and offering their compliments on the new windows!
