Our client approached us for white uPVC windows for their lovely chalet-style home in a beautiful tree-lined cul-de-sac in Maidenhead.

Thames Valley Windows had been recommended by a neighbour, as a preferred window supplier, so our clients visited the Bracknell showroom to view the range of uPVC windows and doors we had on offer.

The homeowners of this quaint Maidenhead property had completed a renovation many years ago including a large double extension over the garage with four windows in the dormer to increase the living space in their home. With its excellent characteristics, the owners were keen to ensure that the charm and style of the property were maintained throughout.

Our Maidenhead clients had lived in the property for many years; their aluminium windows were old and tired looking, so they had decided the time had come to modernise the look of their home. They were looking for modern energy-efficient windows that are virtually maintenance-free and would give their property a new lease of life.

One of our designers discussed the range of double glazed uPVC windows suitable for their home. Our clients did consider a couple of different systems but were drawn to the stylish, slender appearance of our slimline uPVC casement windows with even sightlines and mechanical joints from our Halo Flush range. Soon after our client confirmed their order, a trained surveyor visited our clients Maidenhead property to finalise all the measurements and finer details. Shortly after the orders were placed with the manufacturers the date for the installation, was confirmed with our clients.

The installation took 2.5 days to complete, and our fitters ensured that they respected the client’s house with dust sheets and cleaned up every day.

The property now benefits from ten new white uPVC windows in various sizes all designed with slim mullions and dummy sashes on fixed windows to replicate traditional looking timber window finish. The slimline frames allow more sunlight to permit through the glass and naturally warm the house.

For increased energy efficiency, the white uPVC windows have a multi-chambered internal construction; they are argon gas filled and have a thermally efficient spacer bar, achieving a u-value of 1.4.

All the white double glazed windows have chrome handles and high-security multi-point locking systems.

The white uPVC windows have made a magnificent transformation to this chalet-style property in Maidenhead; The upstairs bedroom windows benefit from a larger window style that makes the bedrooms appear larger and are in line with fire regulations. The bathroom windows have obscured glazing, providing both aesthetic and practical benefits.
